Mrs. Beatrice Tollman wins European Hotelier of the Year 2012
01-15-2013
This year's European Hospitality Awards bestowed their highest honors on Bea Tollman, as founder and still hands-on manager of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection. Bea is the wife of Stanley Tollman, Chairman of The Travel Corporation and a world-class hotelier himself, the Red Carnation's father company. Ms. Tollman was honored for her commitment to excellence, focusing on the highest level of service in the most luxurious atmosphere possible. The judges based their decision on both her long half-century experience in the hospitality business as well as her very personification of a real and true hotelier in the classic sense. The Red Carnation's flagship hotel is in Kensington, The Milestone Hotel. Bea Tollman's leadership of these four and five star hotels around Europe are considered to be standard setting for the industry as a whole. In her own words, "My driving passion is to make every stay memorable for every single guest."

Australia is one of the most important markets in the travel industry today
07-05-2012
According to Brett Tollman, the President and CEO of The Travel Corporation, travel to Australia is one of the most important markets in the travel industry today. It is exceptionally beautiful but tourists have the mistaken notion that it is too far away. They continue going back to Hawaii without realizing that Australia isn't much further.
However, with the lack of luxury hotels in the country, TTC, through its boutique hotel company, The Red Carnation, is looking to develop and operate high-end hotels in Perth and Sydney. In addition, Inspiring Journeys is looking to bring travelers from Japan, Germany, UK and China to such areas as Tasmania and the Red Centre.

Tollman on Australia's Upcoming Challenges in the Travel Industry
04-21-2012
The number of Chinese visitors to Australia grew by 17% over the past year, increasing to 27% for Chinese New Year celebrations in January. Tourism Australia said that figures show a significant shift away from the “far world” to the “near world” during the “Asian Century”. Australia needs to drastically improve its tourism infrastructure and increase its standard of service if it is to cope with the influx of Chinese tourists. It also needs to fight air passenger tax increases and address visa agreements with Asian countries if it wants to be ready for Chinese tourists stressed global US-based The Travel Corporation president and Chief Executive Brett Tollman.

When Stanley Tollman founded The Travel Corporation (TTC) over fifty years ago, he set out to provide unique, life changing experiences to global travelers. As increasing numbers of travelers turned to TTC, the company expanded across five continents, employing thousands worldwide. Tollman, and his son Brett –global CEO of TTC – saw firsthand the impact of tourism on the lives of people living in the destinations by providing jobs and foreign currencies.
